He attacks the Marxian concept of life with terrific vigour and brings savage satire to bear on the International Brigades and its left wing sympathisers in England. Unlike most other writers, Campbell is biased by personal experience of both regimes in Spain.

He lived in Toledo as a breaker of horses before the war and was not on any journalistic or political mission. He escaped through the length of Red Spain during the terror and the siege of Alcazar and later returned to the front with the Nationalists.

CONDITION
Immaculate with only light wear on dust jacket and name inside front jacket flap, pages near new.

IMAGES
Are of the actual item and depict all need to know detail.

REMARKS
Scarce in this condition.

https://unicornbooks.co.nz/products/flowering-rifle-a-poem-from-the-battlefield-of-spain-by-roy-campbell
