Biography of Gordon Olley (1893-1958) was a World War One air ace with 10 air victories.
On leaving the RAF, he worked as a pilot with Handley Page, KLM and Imperial Airways. In 1931 he became the world's first pilot to exceed one million miles. Leaving Imperial in 1934, he established his own airline, Olley Air Services, which he sold in 1953. His book provides a personal insight into the early days of civil aviation.
