ABOUT
Centenary history of Donaghy's Industries rope and twine makers, founded in 1876 in Dunedin, New Zealand, by John Donaghy.
From Australia he was a determined and hard working man whose vision left the legacy that is today a name synonymous with rope and twine. In the 1930s rope making was a competitive business and although Donaghy's had a good market share, they initiated a series of takeovers and amalgamations that left them in a position of being the sole supplier of rope and cordage in New Zealand.
