The Selwyn Foundation provides retirement services in Whangarei, Auckland, Papakura and the Waikato.
A serious housing shortage following the Second World War significantly disadvantaged older people. In 1947 the Rev Douglas Caswell came up with a plan that resulted in the establishment of Selwyn Village. Since then the Selwyn Foundation has grown to provide retirement housing for over 900 people and off-site services for many more.
A vision, a Village and a Future is the story of how those services developed.
