ABOUT
A comprehensive, practical, highly praised practical manual for tracking and harvesting big game in the rugged Southern Alps.
This particular book focuses on hunting the mountains of the Southern Alps for tahr and chamois, with a relatively smaller section on deer hunting above the treeline. The book is famous for blending the practical field knowledge of seasoned local stalkers with scientific research on animal biology and alpine terrain.
The technical instruction throughout the chapters is interspersed with engaging short stories and hunting anecdotes. Heavy scientific data and diagrams are cleanly compartmentalised into dedicated appendices at the back of the book.
Illustrated throughout with monochrome and colour images, maps and fine line drawings.
