ABOUT
This book began at Singapore; where several British parties all made the same bid for freedom from the Japanese. Captain Jennings and one companion alone decided to set out to sail from Sumatra to Australia in a small open boat. They had food for sixty days, and some of this proved to be bad; they were at sea for one hundred and twenty-seven days. An Ocean Without Shores is the story of that voyage, of all that happened and how the two men survived.
