Purports to be the diary of an RFC pilot, illustrated with his own photographs.
The photos continued as the subject of much controversy until the early 1980's when Peter M. Grosz, while researching German aviation at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, discovered a diary in which Archer, who served in the RFC, explained how the book was a hoax used to raise money during the depression.
Illustrated throughout with monochrome images.
