ABOUT
The Dornier 335, or Do 335, was a German experimental twin prop aircraft and was one of the most unusual and fastest single-seat fighters of German Luftwaffe during the Second World War.
Powered by two of the most powerful 12-cylinder engines, one in the nose and the other buried in the rear fuselage, it was probably the fastest propeller-driven warplane of the Second World War. The Do 335 Arrow appeared too late to see operational service with the Luftwaffe, but it was a significant bridge between prop and jet-powered aircraft.
The advanced Do 435, He 535 and Ju 635 projects are also covered in this volume.
Illustrated throughout with monochrome and colour images and drawings.
