Excellent memoir of 1st WW air warfare. War in the air on the Western Front in WWI is graphically described in this account by a German aviator mainly involved in hazardous aerial photography over the front lines. While not as well know as the books from Allied flyers, most facets of life, and death, of times aloft and at rest and the thoughts on war by German airmen are eloquently presented, without pretension.
Illustrated with monochrome plates.
