The artist / author sought out ships - wrecks or fully or partly preserved to paint. They are reproduced here along with the histories of the subjects.
82 colour paintings on page rectos with descriptive text on facing pages.
The author and artist is a retired naval officer who has been painting for about 16 years. Self-taught, he has held nine previous one-man exhibitions. He reproduces paintings of historic ships made in 1981 throughout Australia. The rear of the book has a list of the ships. Some of the ships are: Adelaide, Melbourne, James Craig, John Oxley, Lady Hopetoun, Polly Woodside, South Steyne.
CONDITION
Excellent condition, light wear on dust jacket that has also indentations on the front from being written on, pages clean, gift inscription. Refer images.
