History of the The Huia, a topsail schooner launched at Aratapu, Northland in 1894.
She sailed as a cargo carrier until 1951 around the shores of New Zealand, across the Tasman and the Pacific. She ended her days wrecked on Komekame Reef, near Noumea.
Illustrated throughout with monochrome images, includes maps and cutaway line drawings.
Includes separate copy of portrait and newspaper cutting.
CONDITION
Immaculate with only light wear and spine fading on dust jacket, pages otherwise clean and unmarked, no stamps or inscriptions. Images depict all need to know detail.
