Prior to "Not In The Log" the author had written other books on his experiences and incidents in the British merchant navy.
This was the first published in NZ, his home country, and relates 11 short yarns on different aspects of life at sea, and ashore, in sail and steam, many of them set on the NZ coast or on the trans-Tasman trade, while those on terra firma include "sporting" moments. Tales such as these are the folk-lore of the sea.
CONDITION
