ABOUT
An original copy of The Auckland Star newspaper from 1953.
This is the real McCoy from 72+ years ago, not a modern reproduction.
Full coverage Princess Elizabeth returning from Kenya the Queen.
The Auckland Star was an evening daily newspaper published in Auckland, New Zealand, from 24 March 1870 to 16 August 1991. Survived by its Sunday edition, the Sunday Star, part of its name endures in The Sunday Star-Times, created in the 1994 merger of the Dominion Sunday Times and the Sunday Star.
Full of Kiwi nostalgia - these old newspapers take you back in time to the current affairs of the day and how life was in New Zealand. They include many old and amusing vintage adverts, and especially interesting is remembering how low-tech society was and how little things used to cost.
CONDITION
Immaculate - complete, clean and intact with only light marks on edges, not quarter folded. Images depict all need to know detail.
