ABOUT
An original copy of the New Zealand Herald newspaper from 1953.
This is the real McCoy from 72+ years ago, not a modern reproduction.
This includes coverage of the Royal tour as well as aftermath of the Tangiwai railway disaster on Christmas Eve 1953.
The New Zealand Herald is a daily newspaper published in Auckland, New Zealand. It was founded by William Chisholm Wilson, and first published on 13 November 1863. It has the largest newspaper circulation in New Zealand, peaking at over 200,000 copies in 2006.
Full of Kiwi nostalgia - these old newspapers take you back in time to the current affairs of the day and how life was in New Zealand. They include many old and amusing vintage adverts, and especially interesting is remembering how low-tech society was and how little things used to cost.
CONDITION
Immaculate - complete, clean and intact, not quarter folded. Images depict all need to know detail.
