Author, Eileen Wallis, was a notable local researcher, community figure, and alumnus of Otago Girls' High School, who also wrote that school's centennial history.
This initial history tracks the parish from its 19th-century origins up until 1990. It captures the relocation of early church structures, such as a 1871 wooden building from Shiel Hill that later became Holy Innocents in Woodhaugh Valley.

CONDITION
