ABOUT
Richardsons of Napier was a well established New Zealand coastal shipping company based at the Hawkes Bay port of Napier.
Established in 1859 it survived for 110 years, finally failing, like so many small lines, to competition, improved transport services and economic pressures. Gavin McLean's fine history of the company, its ships, services and men, provides an excellent record of a proud small shipping line.
Illustrated throughout with monochrome images and illustrations, fine line illustrations, maps.
