Exceptionally rare vintage photographic souvenir booklet.
The souvenir features 56 monochrome real photographic illustrations printed across its leaves. It highlights iconic thermal attractions, landscapes, and Māori cultural life in Rotorua and the surrounding Taupo district.
James Rasdell Blencowe (1871–1945) was a prominent studio photographer who documented early 20th-century New Zealand scenic wonders.
Charles Edward Le Grice (1881–1957) partnered with Blencowe to capture and retail high-quality landscape postcards and travel albums for the booming thermal resort tourism market.
