The story of Colin Quincey who was the first person to row solo across the Tasman Sea from New Zealand to Australia.
Qunicey departed Hokianga Harbour, New Zealand, on 7 February 1977 and after 63 days, 7 hours at sea arrived at Marcus Beach, Queensland, Australia, on 10 April 1977.
His boat was a 6.72-metre dory-style rowboat named Tasman Trespasser, which he designed and built himself. He navigated using a sextant and the stars, as this was before the era of GPS.
