This is a superb history of all the Curtiss Hawks from the P-1 through P-40, starting with an excellent overview of the Curtiss company itself.
In a 250-page coffee-table hardcover format and loaded with many interviews of people who were there, plus excellently-reproduced archival photos and outstanding line drawings and color cutaway art, coauthors Joe Christy and Page Shamberger bring the Hawk saga to vivid life.
The emphasis is rightly on the most famous Hawk, the P-40 and its many wartime exploits, worth the price of the book alone for its level of detail.
Illustrated throughout with monochrome images including end papers.
CONDITION
Excellent with only light wear/repairs/marks on dust jacket and faint marks on end a papers, pages as new, no stamps or inscriptions. Images depict all need to know detail.
