Captain Parsons was born in 1900, and enlisted in The Royal Marine Artillery in 1918. In an adventurous career with the Royal Marines and the New Zealand Regular Force, he did his share of sea time, was in Turkey during the confrontation with Kemal Pasha, 1922-23, spent a happy period with the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy, and during the 1939-45 war, was involved in the Defence of Britain, and the invasions of Sicily and Normandy.
For many years he has been active in the administration of cricket, thoroughbred breeding and racing. He is a Life Member of the Royal Marines Saddle Club, and a member of the Auckland Racing Club.
Illustrated throughout with monochrome images.

Excellent with wear on covers, stamped. Images depict all need to know detail.
