ABOUT
A book on the development and deployment history and war record of the Douglas DC-3.
The Douglas DC-3 is a propeller-driven airliner manufactured by Douglas Aircraft Company, which had a lasting effect on the airline industry in the 1930s to 1940s and World War II and still remans one of the most iconic fixed wing aircraft in aviation history.
Fat, stubby, and slow-flying are three ways to describe one of the most beloved and remarkable of all airplanes. Designed in the 1930's and still flying today, the DC-3 was developed as a larger, improved 14-bed sleeper version of the Douglas DC-2.
Includes monochrome images throughout.
