A great memoir of the authors experiences in the second world war with the 2nd parachute regiment, including Arnhem.
Throughout his army career the author, a paratrooper, was wounded five times and had over 100 'drops' to his credit. Following Dunkirk and a tour of duty in West Africa, the author joined the newly formed 1st Parachute Brigade, after which his war developed dramatically during operations in Algeria and Tunisia where the Germans first called the paratroopers 'Red Devils'.
Illustrated throughout with monochrome images.

Excellent with light wear to dust jacket, generally book is clean and unmarked. Images depict all need to know detail.
