ABOUT
Published to mark 100 years of operations by one of New Zealand's largest, best known and longest-surviving commercial fishing companies.
This book also traces the development of the country's fishing industry from the days of the early coal-fired steam trawlers to the state-of-the-art boats the company imported from Japan in the late 1970s. The story also follows the history of the Sanford family, which had its New Zealand origins in 1864 when Albert Sanford, from Devon, deserted from crew of the passenger ship Victory at Auckland, where he settled.
Illustrated throughout with monochrome and colour images.
