Bernard Ferguson, Lord Ballantrae of Auchairne, was the Governor General of New Zealand from 1962 to 1967. He was a professional soldier for thirty years being commissioned in the black watch in 1931. He recalls some of the journeys he has made including Antarctica, Nigeria observing the Civil War, troubles in Algeria in 1959, cruising the South Pacific as Governor-General of New Zealand in 1964, and inadvertently taking part in anti-British demonstrations in Dalmatia.
Illustrated with monochrome images, maps on end papers.
CONDITION
Excellent original condition, light shelf wear/fading on dust jacket, name inside end paper, otherwise near new. Images depict all need to know detail.
