ABOUT
Facsimile reprint originally published in 1889.
An exuberant romance of the goldfields, where men's fortunes were made and lost and claim-jumping was a daily occurrence.
More than a little autobiography can be suspected in the tale. The author, Vincent Pyke, spent many years on the goldfields of Victoria and Otago, and was in 1862 Commissioner at the Dunstan diggings, setting of "Wild Will".
