About

This is the story of the well constituted Board of Trustees, and the school which started somewhat shakily with a handful of boys, and one teacher, and is now a thoroughly established part of the New Zealand community.

This book starts with a fairly brief biography of James Dilworth, a self-made and successful businessman, a land-owner and visionary who was always deeply interested in education. He decided to devote his substantial fortune to founding and running an independent boarding school for boys.

Illustrated throughput with monochrome images and map.
