About

A serious study of the social havoc wrought in New Zealand. Conrad Bollinger's searing attack on the alcohol laws and the liquor industry, Grog's own country. Bollinger had been working for a trade union, the Public Service Association. He was also active in many left-wing movements. Later he became a lecturer in English at Victoria University of Wellington which provided him, like other critics, with a secure basis from which to criticise social norms.
